This policy explains how BookMyGlobal (“BMG”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our website, apply for services like the International Driving Permit or MEA attestation, or book travel services through our platform. We process personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

- To improve our services and detect fraud or misuse
4. Identity documents and passport data
Passport scans, driving license images, and photographs you upload are treated as sensitive personal data. They are:
- Encrypted both in transit and at rest
- Accessible only via secure, time-limited links — never via permanently public URLs
- Used solely for the specific service you applied for (e.g. IDP issuance, attestation submission)
- Never sold, rented, or used for advertising purposes
By uploading a document, you confirm it is genuine and that you have the right to share it with us for the purpose of the service requested.
5. When we share data
We share data only where necessary to deliver a service:
- Government and embassy authorities — for MEA attestation and visa assistance, relevant documents are shared with the concerned authority
- Booking partners — flight, hotel, tour (Viator), cruise, and bus bookings require sharing relevant traveler details with the fulfilling partner
- Payment processors — to securely process your payment
- Logistics partners — for physical delivery of IDP cards or attested documents
We do not sell personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
6. How we protect your data
We use industry-standard encryption for data storage and transmission, restricted access controls for sensitive documents, and secure, signed URLs with short expiry times for any document access. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your identity documents with the same care we’d want for our own.
7. How long we keep data
We retain booking and document data for as long as needed to deliver the service and meet legal or regulatory requirements (such as record-keeping for attestation services). You can request deletion of your data at any time, subject to any legal retention obligations.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act and applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information
- Request deletion of your data, where not legally required to be retained
- Withdraw consent for non-essential data use
- Lodge a complaint regarding how your data is handled
